WavyOcean APP is now available on China's mainstream Android platforms

Center for Ocean Research in Hong Kong and Macau (CORE) team released the first interactive ocean environment visualization platform, WavyOcean, in 2022. To further increase the exposure and improve user experience of WavyOcean, in addition to the existing iOS and Android platform browser installation packages, it has now been officially launched on official Android markets such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo, Vivo, and others.

This platform utilizes state-of-the-art oceanic numerical simulations, the platform not only visualizes oceanic processes, but also offers physical and biogeochemical data of the aforesaid oceans. Data available for download include environmental variables such as 3D ocean current, temperature, salinity, levels of nitrate, chlorophyll, dissolved oxygen; as well as atmospheric variables such as wind, temperature and pressure.   Such comprehensive data sets offered on a one-stop-shop platform is set to provide a solid foundation to research topics such as marine hydrodynamics, hazards, pollutions, ecosystem and changing climate.

The WavyOcean app is now officially available on iOS, Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo, Vivo official App stores, as well as the web platform. Users can log in to the WavyOcean web version or download the App to use WavyOcean on your mobile devices. Feel free to explore and experience it.
